This was not the first time Erika’s hugs received public scrutiny. A similar moment happened on October 29, at a Turning Point USA event when she hugged Vice President JD Vance. Her hand brushed his hair, which caused online discussion.
Later, a professional lip reader explained that the exchange between Erika and Vance was a supportive and grieving conversation. Yet, public opinion remains split, and Erika’s public gestures continue to be widely talked about.
